October 29, Fineko/abc.az. Work is underway in Kalbajar district to restore the Istisu sanatorium, and the design of the settlement of the same name has begun.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Bashir Hajiyev, president’s special representative in Kalbajar district,  at the conference on health tourism of Azerbaijan in Shusha.

He also noted that work is ongoing on construction of road Toganali-Kalbajar-Istisu.

"The completion of the construction of this road is planned next year. The 82 km long road is of great importance. In addition, the design of Istisu settlement has begun," Hajiyev stressed.

In addition, he said that houses for 224 apartments are being built in the city.

In his speech, he touched upon the rich tourism potential of the region and stressed that the presence of three international airports in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur in the future will create conditions for the arrival of a large number of foreign tourists in Kalbajar.
