November 1, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, the increase in inflation in Azerbaijan is associated with appreciation of the national currencies of the trading partner countries. At that, an increase in the nominal effective exchange rate of the manat helps to reduce inflation, ABC.AZ reports, quoting CBA chairman Taleh Kazimov as saying this at a briefing.

He recalled that the regulator had revised its forecast for annual inflation.

"We lowered the inflation forecast for this year by 0.3 p.p. to 5.1%, and next year we raised the inflation forecast by 0.3 p.p. to 5.8%."
