Another 546 million manats to be invested in Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park

November 1, Fineko/abc.az. To date, the residents have invested 5.5 billion manats in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park. More than 6,600 permanent jobs have been created, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Elchin Kazimov, spokesman of the Economic Zones Development Agency.

He noted that in addition to the existing projects, it is planned to invest 546 million manats in the SCIP and create more than 2,500 jobs.

"To date, the Park’s residents have sold products for totally 12.5 billion manats, including exported output for 4.37 billion manats. In the first 9 months of this year, the SCIP produced output for 2.13 billion manats and exported products for 762.7 million manats. Compared with 2023, exports grew by 13.1%.

The share of the SCIP in production of non-oil products for this period made up 15.6% and in non–oil exports - 24.7%," Kazimov noted.
