November 5, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia imported natural gas from Azerbaijan for $160.2 million for Jan-Sept 2024.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the National Statistical Service of Georgia (Sakstat), last year this figure reached $313.5 million.

In the first 9 months of this year, Georgia’s natural gas imports from Russia grew by $90.1 million. The total volume of natural gas imported by Georgia from Russia during this period is 6.5% more against Jan-Sept 2023. This is the highest figure for the entire statistical period since 2009.

At the end of 2023, Georgia purchased $110.3 million worth of natural gas from Russia.
