December 2, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from next year, WhatsApp plans to stop supporting some older versions of iOS.

ABC.AZ informs that WhatsApp currently supports iOS 12 and later, but with a future update, the app will need iOS 15.1 or later to work properly.

The change will primarily affect iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users, as the latest iOS update available for these device models is iOS 12.5.7. These devices were released more than 10 years ago, so the number of users still using WhatsApp on these models may be minimal.

For users with newer iPhone models using iOS version below 15.1, it will still be possible to upgrade to the latest iOS version and use WhatsApp even after the change takes effect.
