Turkey to receive LNG from Oman from 2025

December 3, Fineko/abc.az. From 2025, Turkey will receive liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Oman.

ABC.AZ reports that Turkish president Erdogan stated about this at a press conference after talks with Sultan of Oman Haysam bin Tarek Al Said, who is on a visit to Turkey.

"In accordance with the agreements between our company Botas and its Omani colleagues, we are entering a new era of cooperation in the energy sector. LNG supplies from Oman will begin in 2025," Erdogan said.

The Turkish leader also pointed out that both countries "strive to bring trade turnover to $5 billion" in the near future
