Iran and Russia launch two transport projects

December 9, Fineko/abc.az. Iran and Russia have initiated two large transit and logistics projects to improve cooperation and increase trade efficiency.

ABC.AZ informs that the projects include railway route Ulyanovsk-Astrakhan and river corrdior Volga-Caspian Sea, which are expected to reduce transit time from 21 days to seven.

The launch ceremony in Ulyanovsk was attended by the governor of the region, the Consul General of Iran in Kazan, as well as officials from India, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Iraq, as well as representatives of transport companies such as the Iranian-Russian port of Salinka.
