European Parliament proposes to lift the full ban on cars with internal combustion engines from 2035

December 11, Fineko/abc.az. The authors of the initiative believe that against the background of the current difficult situation in the automotive industry, internal combustion engines should be allowed at least as part of hybrid power plants.

ABC.AZ informs that the authors of the idea also want to delay the tightening of standards on emissions of harmful substances, which should come into force next year.

European automakers pay fines for every gram of CO2 in excess of the established norms, and sanctions apply to every car produced. Renault CEO Luca Demeo estimated that the total amount of such fines could reach 15 bn euros next year alone.
