December 13, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani citizens who evade military service and conscription may have their right to leave the country restricted until a decision is made on their conscription.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant amendments to the Migration Code were submitted for discussion by the Milli Majlis Committee on Defense, Security & Anti-Corruption.

In addition, according to the proposed amendments to the Law on Military Duty & Military Service, passing medical examination by citizens of the country will be considered a military duty.

It is also proposed to clarify concept "draft evasion" in the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. It will mean the non-appearance of citizens without valid reasons for medical examination, urgent military service, fees and mobilization service.
