December 13, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has approved tougher penalties for the release of household waste in places not intended for this purpose.

ABC.AZ reports that the Head of state signed a decree on amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences.

According to the changes, individuals for throwing garbage past bins and containers will be fined 300 manats, officials - 1,000 manats, and legal entities - 4,000 manats.

In case of repeated commission of an offense during the year, individuals will be fined 1,000 manats, officials - from 1,500 to 2,000 manats, or, taking into account the circumstances of the case and the identity of the offender, they will be assigned community service for a period of 60 to 100 hours. Legal entities will pay a fine in the amount of 5,000 to 7,000 manats.

In addition, officials will be fined 500 manats and legal entities 2000 manats for late removal of household waste to specially designated places by responsible persons.

Also, the amount of the fine for throwing any objects on the railway is set at 200 manats (currently 30 manats).
