January 9, Fineko/abc.az. Over the 1st quarter of 2025, Azerbaijan will occupy the 70th place in the published Henley & Partners World Passport Index with 72 visa-free destinations.
ABC.AZ reports that this follows from the published updated passport rating of Henley & Partners.
Georgia took 44th place, sharing it with Moldova (122 visa-free destinations). Armenia also retained its position in 74th place, with 68 visa-free destinations.
Singapore's passport became the strongest in 2025. Singapore passport holders can travel visa-free or obtain a visa on arrival in 195 countries and territories around the world.
According to the study, Japan took the 2nd place, 193 destinations are available to citizens of this country without visas.
Finland, France, Italy, Germany, South Korea and Spain are in 3rd place (192 countries and territories). Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden shared the 4th place, and citizens of these countries can travel without visas or with visas on arrival to 191 countries. Belgium, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland and the UK (190 countries) complete Top 5.
Top 10 of passports includes Australia, Greece (189 countries); Canada, Malta, Poland (188 countries); Czech Republic, Hungary (187 countries); Estonia, USA (186 countries); Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia, UAE (185 countries).
Turkey and Russia are ranked 46th in the ranking.
The index is based on exclusive and official data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world's largest and most accurate database of travel information.
