Lukashenko and Putin to discuss construction of second nuclear power plant in Belarus

January 21, Fineko/abc.az. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has announced plans to discuss the construction of a second nuclear power plant in the republic with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future.

ABC.AZ informs that the Belarusian edition of BELTA writes about this.

Lukashenko noted that there is currently a small surplus of electricity in his country.

"But it may not be enough in the future. Therefore, we will discuss with the Russian president in the near future the construction of a second nuclear power plant in Belarus," he said.

Lukashenko said that the second nuclear power plant in Belarus could be built south of Mogilev.
