January 21, Fineko/abc.az. The day before, the president, who took office, canceled Joe Biden's decree, according to which 50% of new cars on the U.S. market should be electric by 2030.

ABC.AZ informs that of course, this decree was not legally binding, but many automakers both in the U.S. and abroad were guided by the strategy.

In addition, the new president stopped distributing funds for the development of a network of charging stations.

Finally, Trump said that it is necessary to abandon market distortions that make the position of electric cars in the market a priority. To this end, the new administration will consider abolishing the subsidy of $7,500 for purchase of an electric car and will require the Environmental Protection Agency to review new environmental standards that tighten the requirements for harmful emissions.
