Data unveiled on Azerbaijan's foreign trade operations in 2024

January 22, Fineko/abc.az. In 2024, Azerbaijan carried out trade operations with foreign countries for $47.6 bn (7% less than in 2023).

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the monthly report of the State Customs Committee, that out of the total foreign trade turnover, $26.554 bn accounted for exports, and $21.58 bn for imports. Over the past year, exports decreased by 21.7%, while imports increased by 21.8%.

As a result, positive balance of $5.496 bn formed in foreign trade (3-fold less than in 2023).

The total volume of Azerbaijan's foreign trade operations in 2023 amounted to $51.18 bn, including exports for $33.898 bn and imports for  $17.285 bn, balance - $16.613 bn.

In November and December 2024, Azerbaijan's foreign trade operations had negative balance. The negative balance was $535.35 bn in November and $70.8 million in December. In March and September 2024, the balance was also negative.

Azerbaijan's exports in November 2024 reached $1.599 bn, imports - $2.135 bn, exports of Azerbaijan in December - $2.216 bn, imports - $2.286 bn.
