February 6, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese company BYD plans to launch the production of electric buses in Azerbaijan this year,ABC.AZ infoms, quoting Seymur Adigezalov, the chairman of board of the Economic Zones Development Agency.

He added that necessary infrastructure for production has already been created, and it is planned to start work on installation of the production line in the near future. The project cost is more than 29 million manats.

Last year, a framework agreement was signed with BYD, guaranteeing the provision of country's bus fleet at the expense of local production.
