February 7, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has published the data on premiums and compensation payments on voluntary insurance of country’s citizens who traveled abroad for 2024.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to Central Bank's report, that for January-October 2024, the premiums on this type of insurance amounted to 5.579 million manats (441,000 manats or 7% less versus Jan-Oct 2023).

In 2023, this figure reached 6.22 million manats.

During this period, compensations on this type of insurance were paid for 650,000 manats (107,000 manats or 20% less than in 2023).

Over Jan-Oct 2023, the payments were made for 107,000 manats.

The loss rate for Jan-Oct 2024 was 12% (3% more than a year ago). In 2023, the loss rate was 9%.
