ABC.AZ informs that Education Minister Emin Amrullayev made this statement during panel discussions at the high-level presentation of the WB World Development Report (WDR) for 2024 in Baku.

He noted that early childhood practices are very important for improving the quality of education.

The minister said that in many cases, politicians are working to make decisions that bring results as soon as possible.

"But fundamental education takes time. In this sense, we are working in this direction. There is an increase of up to 30% in the early education of children aged 1 to 5 years, and we have the opportunity to increase this figure to 50%. To improve the quality, it is also necessary to increase the finances received for each student. And over the past 10 years, the statistical figures have grown significantly. These are quantitative indicators, but there is still work to be done on quality," the minister said.
