February 10, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish exports to Azerbaijan in 2024 amounted to about $3.1 bn.
ABC.AZ informs that these figures are given in a new report by the Turkish Statistics Authority (TÜIK) on exports to neighboring countries.
According to TUIK data distributed by Turkish media on February 10, country's total exports to Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Greece amounted to $34.2 bn by the end of 2024, which is a record figure in the history of the Republic of Turkey. In 2023, this figure was approx. $31.9 bn, and last year it grew by 7.4%.
Iraq became the leader among neighboring countries in terms of purchases of Turkish products in 2024 ($13 bn). It is followed by Bulgaria ($5.2 bn), Greece ($4.8 bn) and Iran ($3.2 bn).
Exports to Azerbaijan totaled roughly $3.1 bn, to Georgia - $2.7 bn, and to Syria - $2.2 bn.
TUIK noted that growth of Turkish exports in 2024 was recorded to all neighboring countries, with the exception of Iran (a drop of 0.5%).
The indicators of trade with Armenia, with which Turkey has a closed border and no diplomatic relations, did not lead to TUIK.
Turkey's total exports in 2024 reached a record $261.9 bn.
