February 12, Fineko/abc.az. Automakers continue to review model ranges, and by 2026, several iconic cars will disappear from the assembly lines.

ABC.AZ reports that the reasons are obvious: electrification, reduced demand for individual segments, and a focus on crossovers.

The list of models that will not survive until 2026:

Porsche 718 - the Boxster and Cayman models will give way to an electric successor.

Porsche Macan - the petrol version will leave the market, making way for the Macan EV.

BMW 8 Series - low demand makes further production unprofitable.

Lexus RC sports coupe couldn't stand the competition and doesn't fit into the brand's strategy.

Mercedes GLC Coupe - the coupe-like SUV is losing popularity, yielding to the classic GLC versions.

Infiniti QX50 - the brand continues to reduce the model range due to low sales.

These models are disappearing as part of the global transition to electric vehicles and the optimization of model lines. Manufacturers are focusing on crossovers, electric cars, and profitable segments, sacrificing classic gasoline models.
