February 13, Fineko/abc.az. After the authority to collect social benefits was assigned to the State Tax Service, social receipts have increased 2.5-fold over the past 6 years up to 5.7 billion manats.

ABC.AZ reports that State Tax Service’s head Orkhan Nazarli said about this at Baku forum "Tax Service – 25: Sustainable Development and Effective Transformation".

He noted that the Social Insurance Fund's dependence on budget transfers currently stands at 17.5 percent, down from 35.6 percent in 2018.

There are currently more than 120,000 legal entities operating in Azerbaijan, which represents a steadily developing part of taxpayers. In recent years, more than 100,000 electronic cash registers have been installed at trade and service facilities in the country, and their turnover in 2024 exceeded 24.5 billion manats.
