February 14, Fineko/abc.az. As part of the World Government Summit in Dubai, the launch of new transportation project Dubai Loop has been announced. It involves the creation of a network of underground tunnels in densely populated areas of the emirate to reduce traffic jams.

ABC.AZ informs that plans for the construction of a new ring transportation system were announced by Minister of State Omar Sultan Al Olama and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

The innovative transport system with length of 17 km will have 11 stations and will provide capacity of up to 20,000 passengers per hour. The transport will run non-stop to the destination station and reach speeds of up to 160 km/h.

According to a statement on the website of Musk-owned Boring Company, the project will eventually allow the transportation of more than 100,000 passengers per hour.

Boring specializes in the creation of prefabricated underground transport tunnels.
