March 11, Fineko/abc.az. Based on the results of 2024, the value of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan has exceeded $500 million.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani FM Jeyhun Bayramov said about this at today’s joint press conference with his Kazakh counterpart Murat Nurtleu, in Astana.

Bayramov noted that the initial charter capital of the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Fund will amount to $300 million: "The establishment of this fund will make a significant contribution to the implementation of investment projects between the two countries. Additionally, considering our high-level interstate relations and active political dialogue, we should increase our efforts to fully realize the potential of economic cooperation."

The minister added the need for cooperation between the economic and parks and zones of Azerbaijan with the relevant bodies of Kazakhstan.

Bayramov stressed that expansion of cooperation in the transport and logistics sector, as well as the project of laying a fiber optic cable along the bottom of the Caspian Sea between Baku and Aktau "will serve a more dynamic economic cooperation".
