March 17, Fineko/abc.az. Work has begun to determine sutes for the construction of two more nuclear power plants, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Government of Kazakhstan.

In February, Kazakh Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev announced that the first nuclear power plant would be built near Lake Balkhash and the sites for the construction of two other plants had been preliminarily defined - the MAEK site (Mangystau Nuclear Power Plant in Aktau in western Kazakhstan) and the city of Kurchatov in the east of the republic.
