March 18, Fineko/abc.az. Alphabet, Google's parent company, is in talks to acquire American cybersecurity company Wiz for $30 billion, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Financial Times.
According to the FT, the purchase of "one of the fastest growing software startups could be the largest deal in the history of the search giant".
Alphabet wanted to acquire Wiz for $23 billion last year, but negotiations broke down after some directors and investors of the cybersecurity company began to worry about obstacles related to antitrust laws. Now Alphabet has returned with an offer exceeding $30 billion, one of the FT sources said.
