March 19, Fineko/abc.az. A weak lira will reduce the cost of Turkish exports, which will make country's goods more attractive, including to Russia.

ABC.AZ informs, quoting Svetlana Frumina, an expert at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

Turkey is an important trading partner of Russia, so the changes will affect different sectors of the economy, from food to tourism, she added.

The Turkish lira updated its lows on Wednesday: earlier in the course of trading, the dollar against the lira jumped by more than 10%, rising above 41 lira for the first time.
