April 10, Fineko/abc.az. The European Investment Bank (EIB) is considering the possibility of issuing green bonds in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to EIB, that the EIB has extensive experience in green financing globally, including the issuance of bonds aimed at supporting environmentally sustainable projects.

Given Azerbaijan's commitment to economic diversification, as well as its active investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency, there is a promising opportunity to attract EIB financing for the issuance of green bonds, the bank said, adding, however, that this requires a reliable regulatory framework and a clear pipeline of environmentally sustainable projects, the bank stressed.
