World's largest container ship commissioned in China

April 16, Fineko/abc.az. The Chinese State Shipbuilding Corporation has commissioned the world's largest marine twin-fuel container ship, ABC.AZ reports, referring to China Central Television.

The vessel can carry 24,000 standard containers at a time, cargo weighing up to 220,000 tons. The container ship will provide transportation of goods from East Asia to Europe.

According to the TV channel, this container ship can match the height of a building with 25 floors. Its engines run on LNG, among other things, and after refueling, the vessel can cover a distance of 20,000 nautical miles (more than 37,000 km).
