April 16, Fineko/abc.az. The number of passenger buses in Baku is to increase up to 2,800.

ABC.AZ informs, quoting Tarlan Safarov, the head of the Baku Regional Department of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), as saying this at the National Business Development Forum.

 "Last year, 2,160 buses ran in Baku during the day. In 2025, it is expected that more than 100 buses will be delivered to Baku by private carriers. The number of buses connected to the cashless payment system in Baku increased by 43% compared to 2023, reaching about 2,000 buses," Safarov said.
