Azerbaijan exported over 5.899 bcm of natural gas for Q1

April 17, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan significantly increased its natural gas exports in the first quarter of 2025.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Customs Committee, that for Jan-Mar 2025, the country exported more than 5.899 bcm of natural gas.

The total value of those exports amounted to $2.206 bcm.

For comparison, for the same period of 2024, natural gas exports totaled 4.933 bcm, and its value was $1.752 bn.

3 bcm of gas were sold to Europe, 2.3 bcm to Turkey (including 1.4 bcm via TANAP), and 700 million cu m to Georgia.

While natural gas was exported at average price of $355.1 per 1,000 cu m in 2024, the price increased by 5.3% to $374.1 per 1,000 cu m for Jan-Mar 2025.

Azerbaijan extracted 12.6 bcm of natural gas in the 1st quarter of 2025.

3.4 bcm of gas accounted for Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, 6.8 bcm for Shah Deniz, 400 million cu m for Absheron field, and 2 bcm for SOCAR.

Since the commissioning of fields Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz, approx. 655.2 million tons of oil (together with condensate) and 476.8 bcm of gas were extracted until April 1, 2025.

605.6 million tons of oil and 233.2 tons of oil were produced from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli; from Shah Deniz - nearly 49.6 million tons of condensate, 243.6 bcm of gas.

By April 1, 2025, close to  653.2 million tons of oil and 174.8 bcm f gas were exported.
