April 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has seen another spike in prices for building materials, with imported products rising most noticeably.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to ATV that in the last two weeks, the most noticeable rise in prices has been observed for the main building materials - wood, cement and stone.

So, if a few months ago 1 cu m of wood could be purchased for 320 manats, today its cost reaches 340 manats. A bag of cement went up by 50 gapiks, and a stone - by 10 gapiks. The price increase has also affected other categories of building materials.

Buyers express dissatisfaction, while sellers explain the situation by increasing the cost of production and increasing the cost of imports. According to traders, prices for roofing materials, cement and small construction fittings have increased significantly.

"Previously, we used to buy 1 cu m of wood for 320 manats, now the price has risen to 330-340 manats. Prices continue to rise," said one of the sellers.

The cost of roofing materials varies depending on thickness and quality - from 3 manats 50 gapiks to 30 manats.

The previous increase in prices for building materials in Azerbaijan was recorded in early March of this year.
