April 21, Fineko/abc.az. Telecommunications companies Huawei and China Unicom have launched the first broadband network 10G in Xiong'an region of Chinese province of Hebei, ABC.AZ reports, referring to local newspaper Mydrivers.
"The deployment of 10G broadband is based on the world's leading 50G PON solution. Due to the modernization of the basic architecture of the fiber-optic access network, the bandwidth for a single user is increased from the traditional gigabit level to the 10G level, and network latency is reduced to the level of milliseconds," the paper says.
It is specified that in the house of one of the users connected to the new network, the Internet download speed reached 9,834 Mbps. The data transfer rate was 1,008 Mbit/s, while the delay was "stable" for only 3 milliseconds.
"For ordinary users, 10G broadband Internet access means not only an increase in Internet speed, but also a revolution in lifestyle," Mydrivers reports.
