April 22, Fineko/abc.az. The new building of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), which is under construction, will be commissioned in August 2025.
ABC.AZ reports that project performer Turkish company Tekfen is carrying out the design and construction work of the new building in accordance with the contract concluded in 2021.
The completion date has been extended until August 2025 due to additional work included in the main contract. At the moment, 84.1% of the work has been finished.
The height of the new Central Bank building is 163.8 m, and its area is 35,737 sq m. The new building with an atrium and wide hanging gardens will be equipped with solar panels integrated into the facade and natural ventilation channels, which will ensure energy saving and a comfortable working environment for employees.
The author of the project is Austrian architectural firm Coop Himmelblau, which also designed the European Central Bank building in Frankfurt.
