April 23, Fineko/abc.az. India and Saudi Arabia are discussing partnership in the construction of refineries and petrochemical enterprises, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Indian PM Narendra Modi.
He stressed that the countries are currently working on a feasibility study on the possibility of connecting the electricity grids of India and Saudi Arabia to each other and to larger regions.
Saudi Arabia is a key partner in ensuring India's energy security. The countries agreed to strengthen ties in the field of energy amid global instability.
Saudi Arabia has previously announced plans to invest in the planned Bharat Petroleum Corp (CNPC) refinery in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh and in the Oil & Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) refinery in the western state of Gujarat.
