May 12, Fineko/abc.az. In 4 years, the number of bank cards in Azerbaijan has more than doubled compared to the end of Q1 of 2021 (10.126 million cards), or rather, by 10.3 million cards.

ABC.AZ informs that in MTM, this means that the number of active bank cards per capita in the country is about 2.

As of the end of the 1st quarter of 2025, the number of active bank cards in the country over the past year increased by 17.4%, or 3.38 million cards, up to 20.459 million cards.

And in the 1st quarter of last year, this figure was 17.4 million cards.
