U.S. to cut duties on parcels from China from 120% to 54%

May 13, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. will lower tariffs on mail from China from 120% to 54%.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the executive order of U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to the document, the changes will take effect from 00:01 on May 14, US East Coast time (08:01 Baku time). At the same time, the minimum fixed departure fee will still be $100.

Trump previously announced that the tariff imposed on parcels sent to the U.S. from China would be increased to 120%. He added that starting from May 2, goods from China for $800 and below will no longer be exempt from duties.
