May 14, Fineko/abc.az. Iran has suggested the creation of an international consortium for peaceful uranium enrichment with the participation of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and U.S. investments as an alternative to Washington's demand to curtail its nuclear program.

ABC.AZ informs that The New York Times writes about it. The proposal was announced by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi at talks with U.S. Special Representative Steve Witkoff in Oman on May 11. The consortium assumes joint control over the process, including possible U.S. involvement, and uranium enrichment to 3.67%.

Unlike the 2015 nuclear deal, the agreement will be open-ended.
