Azerbaijani citizens spent 7.7 million manats daily on drinks and cigarettes in April

May 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2025, alcohol and tobacco products for 902.9 million manats were sold in the retail trade of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to thre State Statistics Committee that the figure is 0.3% more against Jan-Apr 2024.

This January, alcohol and tobacco made up 4.9% of all retail customer spending. This means that on average 7.5 million manats were spent daily.

In April alone, the volume of alcohol and cigarette purchases amounted to 231.8 million manats, or 7.7 million manats per day.
