May 19, Fineko/abc.az. Shanghai-based Sony AI (China) has launched the world's first clinic in Saudi Arabia, where artificial intelligence independently diagnoses patients and prescribes prescriptions.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to Bloomberg that the project was implemented by Chinese startup Xiaodao Health Technology and became part of Saudi Arabia's large-scale strategy for healthcare digitalization within the framework of national program Vision 2030.

The clinic's AI system independently diagnoses patients' conditions, suggests possible treatment options, prescribes prescriptions and sends them for tests - without the participation of medical staff. One of the goals of the project is to provide access to medical services in remote regions where there is a shortage of specialists.
