May 20, Fineko/abc.az. India has officially become the third largest producer of electricity from wind and solar sources, behind only China and the U.S.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the Global Electricity Review 2025, published by Ember think tank, India has consolidated its position and now plays a key role in shaping future global energy and climate policy.

In 2024, India commissioned 23.83 GW of new solar capacity, which is significantly higher than the previous year's figure of 15.03 GW.
