May 21, Fineko/abc.az. Allianz Trade’s survey showed that 95% of Chinese exporters surveyed are planning, if they have not already done so, to double exports to markets outside the U.S.

ABC.AZ A survey conducted among private companies shows that the tense trade war with the U.S. has left a deep mark on the lives of Chinese exporters. Many of them are seeking to diversify their activities and reduce dependence on the U.S., despite the temporary postponements of introduction of duties.

According to a survey conducted among 4,500 exporters from different countries, 95% of Chinese exporters plan, if they have not already done so, to increase the supply of their goods to markets outside the U.S.

The study shows that a break in relations between the U.S. and China remains a possible scenario in the medium-term prospect. Chinese exporters are seeking to move away from dependence on the U.S., and American companies are stepping up efforts to shift production from China.

The report notes that more and more companies expect lower export volumes this year due to double-digit U.S. tariffs.
