May 22, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is actively working to simplify the filing of tax returns for taxpayers working under simplified taxation.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Tax Service that this was announced at the next meeting of the Working Group on Taxation & Reporting at the Commission on Business Environment & International Ratings.

The working group is led by the State Tax Service. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the State Statistics Committee, the State Agency for Citizen Services & Social Innovations under the President (ASAN), the Chamber of Auditors, as well as consulting companies and entrepreneurs.

Ilkin Veliyev, deputy head of the Tax Service, presented the issues on the agenda and reported on the work carried out in the first quarter of 2025 as part of the Roadmap for improving the taxation and communications system, as well as on future plans. It was noted that a number of new services have been introduced for taxpayers over the past period.
