May 23, Fineko/abc.az. Tokyo will take measures against the dominance of foreign rice by introducing directive market management.

ABC.AZ informs that Agriculture Minister Shinjiro Koizumi announced lower prices and direct supplies of rice from government stocks.

The auction method is being canceled, starting in July, 100,000 tons of rice will be produced every month.

Earlier attempts to release reserve stocks did not have a significant effect due to the complex distribution scheme.

The price increase is associated with damage to crops due to the heat and increased demand due to tourism. Elections to the upper house of Parliament will be held in July.
