June 10, Fineko/abc.az. China and Azerbaijan are taking the necessary steps to mutually ratify and implement the Visa Freedom Agreement.

ABC.AZ informs that Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei made this statement at an event dedicated to the International Day of Inter-Civilizational Dialogue.

"The number of Chinese tourists who arrived in Azerbaijan for Jan-Apr 2025 increased by 70% versus the 2024 same term. The entry into force of the Mutual Visa Exemption Agreement will further strengthen this flow. The parties are already taking the necessary steps to ratify and implement it," he said.

The diplomat stressed that the diplomatic mission will promptly inform about the procedure for China's ratification of this agreement.
