June 11, Fineko/abc.az. Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are working over the creation of an electronic commercial platform that will allow for the conclusion of contracts at the B2B and B2C levels between the two countries.
ABC.AZ informs that Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Khurram Teshabayev made the relevant statedment at the panel session "Azerbaijan – Uzbekistan: vector of economic partnership" within the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum.
According to Teshabayev, there is currently steady development and growth of trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, which has grown 2-fold over the past 5 years.
"Only in the first 4 months of this year, according to Uzbek statistics, an increase of 40% was recorded. Despite the positive dynamics, we need to work on further increasing volumes so that they match the pace of economic growth, since the potential of our economies allows us to increase trade turnover up to $1 billion," he stated.
