June 13, Fineko/abc.az. The cost of goods sold by business entities operating in the non-governmental sector increased by 3.8% in real terms for Jan-May compared with the 2024 same term and made up 99.8% of the overall retail turnover.

Compared with Jan-May 2024, retail trade turnover for Jan-May 2025 grew by 9.1% for enterprises in real terms, by 0.2% for individual entrepreneurs and by 3.8% for markets and fairs, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Over Jan-May 2025, one person of the population bought an average of 456.2 manats per month in a retail chain, including food, beverages and tobacco products for 255.5 manats, non-food products for 200.7 manats.
