June 13, Fineko/abc.az. At the beginning of this year, the loan portfolio of the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy amounted to 887.5 million manats, ABC.AZ informs, quoting Finance Minister Sahil Babayev as saying this at today's plenary session of the parliament.

"During the meeting, the need to increase concessional loans provided for the implementation of entrepreneurship and its uniform distribution across regions was emphasized. Along with the loan, 14 million manats were used last year to subsidize interests on loans given to entrepreneurs under governmental guarantee, as well as to guarantee loans received by entrepreneurs from authorized banks, and to subsidize part of the interest. This year, 61 million manats are provided for subsidizing interests on loans guaranteed by the state, and 15 million manats for guaranteeing loans received by entrepreneurs from authorized banks, and subsidizing part of the accrued interests on these loans," he said.
