June 17, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2025, agricultural products worth 3.706 billion manats were produced in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the State Statistics Committee, the figure is 1.5% more against the 2024 same term.

The cost of crop production produced in the country grew by 3.1% up to 867.2 million manats, and the cost of livestock products by 1% up to 2.838 billion manats.

The sowing of spring crops in the country as a whole has been completed. As of June 1, spring crops were sown on an area of 369,800 hectares. During this period, grain and leguminous crops were planted on an area of 73,100 hectares (of which 33,900 hectares were corn for grain), potatoes on an area of 44,800 hectares, vegetables on an area of 59,300 hectares, melons on an area of 17,300 hectares, cotton on an area of 100,600 hectares, on an area of 12,700 hectares — sunflower seeds for grain, on an area of 7,200 hectares — sugar beet, on an area of 2,500 hectares — tobacco, on an area of 47,800 hectares — perennial grasses, on an area of 3,800 hectares - annual grasses, on an area of 700 hectares — other spring crops.

In 5 months, the country produced 233,600 tons of live meat, including poultry, 916,500 tons of milk, 1.1 million eggs, 11,200 tons of wool, 1.3 tons of cocoons, egg production increased by 2.8%, meat — by 1.2%, milk — by 0.2% compared to the 2024 same term. Last year, wool production decreased by 1.4% ande cocoon production by 58.1%.
