Luxury brands raise prices amid declining demand

June 18, Fineko/abc.az. Global luxury brands have raised prices again, mainly in the U.S., to offset rising tariffs.

ABC.AZ informs that the average increases amounted to single-digit percentages and partially affected other regions.

According to J.P. Morgan analyst Chiara Battistini, such adjustments are enough to maintain profits, but demand may fall - consumers are already showing fatigue from rising prices. Gucci and Ferragamo, which are in the restructuring phase, have so far refrained from price increases.

The segment of "solid luxury" (watches, jewelry) has also increased prices, which analysts consider a steady trend due to rising prices for precious metals.

According to Bain, the personal luxury market reached €363 billion in 2024, but the growth rate in the sector has slowed significantly.
