June 18, Fineko/abc.az. Some time ago, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order approving Azerbaijan’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2025-2028. Since the decree, a number of industries have begun to pay serious attention to the introduction of artificial intelligence, and a number of institutions and companies are already trying to take advantage of this trend.

ABC.AZ has sent a request to the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan (ASA) to inquire about the use of artificial intelligence in the insurance sector.

In response to our question from the ASA, it was stated that insurance companies currently operating in our country are also actively using the opportunities offered by AI, as a result of which they save their costs and resources, and also plan to continue working on the formation of AI-based processes at a later stage.

"Insurance companies currently operating in our country use the capabilities of artificial intelligence in the work of personal accounts available on their websites, in the processes of searching, analyzing, structuring and consolidating information, in the processes of acquiring new knowledge, in the processes of preparing reports, forming proposals, internal correspondence, analysis and decision support. solutions, in the processes of design, marketing, video and graphic content generation, including in the processes of registration and initial evaluation of events, automatic processing of thousands of applications for mass recruitment and nomination of suitable candidates, automation of business processes, formation of insurance premiums, and other processes. Our sector uses the ChatGPT Team (OpenAI) artificial intelligence functions, Freepik AI, Vision Language Models, CV screening based on AI, reading paper and PDF documents using OCR and processing through LLM, as well as ML algorithms," ASA statement says.
