June 18, Fineko/abc.az. The development of entrepreneurship means economic growth, increased business activity, and business flexibility. Over the past period of 2025, enterprises, organizations and individual entrepreneurs operating in the country have produced more than 50 billion manats of GDP.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alekberov as saying this at the 6th Exhibition of Promotion of Local Companies, organized jointly by the Agency for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Businesses (KOBIA) and Marsol Group.

He stressed that the production of added value in the non-oil/gas sector of the economy grew by 3.9%.

"The main purpose of this exhibition is to increase the share of domestic products in meeting demand, increase export potential and minimize dependence on the oil and gas factor. The number of concluded employment contracts increased more than by 465,000 contracts compared with the beginning of 2019 and exceeded 1.867 million as of June 1, 2025. For Jan-May 2025, the State Budget received approx. 7.8 billion manats of taxes (4.6% more than last year). 72.9% of the taxes paid are in the non-oil/gas sector," he emphasized.
